Susan Loane Counselling Services accepts Medicare Mental Health Care Plans and Private Health Funds.

Patients often approach their GP with concern about negative life circumstances, for example relationship breakdown, life crisis or social isolation. These often point to, or are accompanied by significant and persistent mental health problems.

Susan's Loane has the particular mental health training, skill and expertise to assess and offer treatment. Susan's beautiful rooms and the calming ambiance is often commented on by her patients.

It is important to clarify that not all counsellors or psychologists have this particular expertise in mental health.

How Do I Refer?

Patients can be referred for counselling as an individual or couple or family. If the patients have private health funds they may be eligible to use their private health cover. Susan advises to check with their health fund.

Medicare Mental Health Care Plans are accepted at Susan Loane Counselling Services Bundall, Gold Coast Office.

Under government mental health care programs, the first step is for you to formulate a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan for your patient. Patients will be eligible for a rebate fee of $83.00 from Medicare for the billing item number to activate any referral.

A written letter is required for your patient, who can then contact Susan Loane Counselling Services Bundall to arrange an appointment.
